RoC Consult and 50hertz Transmission GmH are performing a RoC drill on the SuedOstLink

We are happy to announce that RoC Consult will be executing RoC drills with 50Hertz Transmisson GmbH on the SuedOstLink.

SuedOstLink is a DC connection which will connect the South of Germany with the East. The route will be 540 km long and mostly be underground. It will transport renewable energy produced in wind parks in the North to the South. It is expected to be completed by 2027.

50Hertz Transmisson GmbH was founded in 2002 and its majority owner is the Elia Group, and the second shareholder is KfW, Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau.

SuedOstLink will compromise the transport of 2,000 megawatt at a voltage of 525 kilovolt. 50Hertz Transmisson GmbH will oversee the northern part of the project.

”At RoC Consult we are excited about this opportunity to work with 50 Hertz and other key stakeholders. The project is an important piece in the overall European grid connection and transition to renewable energy.”

About RoC Drill:

The RoC drill is a practical method to visualize and rehearse the execution of a complex commercial project. The concept has shown to be very useful for de-risking commercial projects. By rehearsing on physical (or virtual) models/mockups, we visualize, rehearse, and stress test the plan before executing it.

Yours sincerely,

Carsten Sølund
